October 2022 Update

Our family had a wonderful time visiting with friends both old and new when we visited Iowa and Michigan. It seemed more like a spiritual retreat in a way as we were able to fellowship with so many people. Such a blessing and encouragement!
Since our visit we have been back in Nebraska continuing to raise prayer and financial support for going to Papua New Guinea. Spencer is working construction, and I have started homeschooling Brennan. Currently, we are seeking to continue meeting with people about our ministry as well as completing the metaphoric "mountain" of paperwork required to go. It has been such a joy for both of us to meet with churches and families who God is raising up to support us.
Financially, we are sitting at about 48% for our monthly support and are at about 14% for our one-time costs. As a note, we are praying to be at 75% by the beginning of February in order to buy our plane tickets. The mission needs to see that we are here before we can do so. All to say, please join us in praying for this as you think of us. Thank you for coming along side us as we walk with and trust in the Lord in our preparation to go!

Encouraging verses:

1 John 2:15-17 "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever."

Revelation 12:11 "They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death."

These verses have been really hitting home for us here recently along with Luke 9:23. Praying that this would ring true of all of our lives.

With Love,
The Ewert Family
