The Goal: To Establish a Mature and Thriving Church in an Unreached People Group. (27 June 2020)

Updated: Jun 21, 2022

What we have been up to:

  • August 2015: Kayla started Ethnos 360 Bible Institute in Jackson, Michigan.

  • December 2015: Spencer graduated from the University of Nebraska, moved to Michigan after proposing, and began working at Integrity Tree Service.

  • January 2017: Spencer began classes at Ethnos 360 Bible Institute and started as the Youth Director at Michigan Center Bible Church.

  • May 2017: Kayla Graduated Ethnos 360 Bible Institute.

  • July 2017: Brennan was born.

  • August 2018: We led a trip with Michigan Center Bible Church to Mexico Caravan Ministries.

  • December 2018: Spencer graduated from Ethnos 360 Bible Institute and we moved to his hometown of Ogallala, Nebraska.

  • Spencer is currently working as a general contractor in Ogallala.

  • Kayla has been staying home with Brennan and now our newest blessing, Ava.

  • We have both been plugging into and serving at our church here in Ogallala.

What we are planning to do: We are desiring to, Lord willing, be missionaries to an unreached people group. To take the gospel where it has never been, and to bring light to those walking in darkness. After two years of training at the MTC, then we will spend some time with partnership development so we can go and stay on the field. After that, we will be leaving for the first stage of reaching an unreached people group. What is an unreached people group? An "unreached" or "least-reached" people is a people group among which there is no indigenous community of believing Christians with adequate numbers and resources to evangelize this people group without outside assistance.

Going Forward

  • Keep following Jesus where we are now (Ogallala, Nebraska), and pouring into those around us.

  • Missions Conference with Fellowship Community Church in Norwalk, Iowa the weekend of August 8th.

  • Moving to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Missouri for training to be church planters in an unreached people group. Classes start on August 17, 2020.

  • Continue building relationships and partnerships with all of you!

  • We will be sending out prayer cards for anyone who would like one. Text or email Spencer or Kayla.

We would love if you would keep our family in your prayers as we start our training. Please pray that we will keep our eyes and focus on the Lord. Also, pray for Brennan as he is starting to understand and know more of the Bible of who Jesus is. He is asking some really good questions. (Pretty cool!)
